New York Jets Bio
Established in 1959, the New York Jets are one of the two football franchises based out of the New York Metropolitan area. The team was originally named the Titans of New York and competed in the American Football League. The team began to play in 1960 at the Polo Grounds. Under new ownership, the current name was adopted in 1963 and the franchise moved to Shea Stadium in 1964 and then to the Meadowlands Sports Complex in 1984.
When the Jets won Super Bowl III in 1969 by defeating the Baltimore Colts, they helped solidify the position of AFL teams in the football world. The New York Jets currently compete in the AFC East Division of the league. They last won a Divisional title in 2002 and have been in wavering form in the league since then. The New York Jets are valued at around $5.4 billion currently.
New York Jets Next Game
The New York Jets will be heading into the new NFL season with four preseason games scheduled in August, 2023. The JEts played their season opener against the Cleveland Browns suffering a 16-21 loss. The Jets will play their remianing three preaseason games against the Carolina Panthers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New York Giants.
The Jets play their regular season opener against the Buffalo Bills on September 12, 2023 at the MetLife Stadium. The Jets have a bye week in Gameweek 7, allowing for a mid-season break. The regular season for the Jets concludes with a game against the New England Patriots on January 7, 2024 hosted at Gillette Stadium.

Cornerback Ahmad ''Sauce" Gardner will be providing the runs for Aaron Rodgers. Gardner was one of the best cornerabcks in the league last season even in an underwhelming Jets setup and the arrival of Rodgers makes for a positive reinforcement for him. DT Quinnen Williams and WR Garrett Wilson are important players in the squad who have the potential to make a real impact in the upcoming NFL season.

New York Jets Championships
The Jets advanced to the playoffs for the first time in 1968 and went on to compete in Super Bowl III where they defeated the Baltimore Colts, becoming the first AFL team to defeat an NFL club in an AFL–NFL World Championship Game. Since 1968, the Jets have appeared in the playoffs 13 times, and in the AFC Championship Game four times, most recently losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2010. However, the Jets have never returned to the Super Bowl, making them one of three NFL teams to win their lone Super Bowl appearance, along with the New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Apart from the Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions, who have never reached the Super Bowl, the Jets' drought is the longest among current NFL franchises.
