Dan J Kroll started "Soap Opera Central," soapcentral.com in 1995 as a fan page devoted to the ABC soap All My Children. But technically, the site started several years earlier in various forms -- first on the Prodigy Internet service and later as a stand alone web page long before registering domain names became something that was open to the masses.

30 years later the site maintains its original vision of celebrating the talented men and women, both in front of and behind the camera, that are involved in bringing daytime dramas to the fans every weekday. Dan has hosted the the Red Carpet of the Daytime Emmys, been tapped as an expert by television and print media outlets.

In June 2024, Soap Central became a part of Absolute Sports, a Nazara Technologies subsidiary and the parent company of Sportskeeda.com and ProFootballNetwork.com. It is one of the world's leading providers of sports news and analysis with over 100 million fans engaging with its platform monthly, and is now foraying into the world of entertainment news.
