T20 World Cup 2024: Netherlands Squad

After a stellar display in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, the Dutch will look to build on it this summer when they participate in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in the Caribbean islands and the United States of America.

The Netherlands will once again be led by their inspirational leader in Scott Edwards, and the squad boasts of tried-and-tested names in the form of Max O’Dowd, Teja Nidamanuru, Bas de Leede, Vikramjit Singh, and Sybrand Engelbrecht in the batting arena.

However, veteran cricketers Colin Ackermann and Roelof van der Merve have been omitted from the squad.

The pace bowling department is stacked with seasoned campaigners like Fred Klaassen, Paul van Meekeren, Logan van Beek, and Vivian Kingma. The ever-so-clever Aryan Dutt will lead the spin-department with his tidy off-breaks, and he will have left-arm orthodox Tim Pringle and right-arm off spinner Sybrand Engelbrecht for company.

The Netherlands are drawn alongside South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal in Group D. The Dutch will open their campaign against Nepal on June 04 before locking horns with South Africa (June 08), Bangladesh (June 13), and Sri Lanka (June 17).
