On the 7th of March 2023, at NXT Roadblock, Roxanne Perez impressed everyone with an amazing performance. Despite enduring powerful kicks and submission holds from Meiko Satomura, she bravely defended her NXT Women's title. However, right after the match, During her celebration the 21-year-old suddenly fell in the ring, prompting Booker T, Meiko Satomura, and medical officials to rush to her aid.


After that incident, Roxanne Perez raised concerns among fans about her well-being. However, it was later revealed that the collapsing incident was part of a scripted storyline, similar to a scenario involving Shawn Michaels on RAW in the mid-90s. Roxanne Perez made her comeback on the March 28 episode of NXT following her injury. She declared her intent to defend her title at Stand & Deliver but ended up losing it to Indi Hartwell in a ladder match involving Dolin, Zoey Stark, Stratton, and Lyra Valkyria, ending her reign at 109 days.Subsequently, on the April 18 episode, Hartwell challenged Perez to a title bout, leading to a triple threat match at Spring Breakin', where Perez was unable to reclaim the title.


Later, Perez entered the NXT Women's Championship Tournament at Battleground after the title became vacant. Although she managed to defeat Jayne in the first round, Perez faced defeat at the hands of Stratton in the semifinals, and was then assaulted by a masked assailant. The mystery attacker was later revealed to be Blair Davenport. Their rivalry culminated in a weapons wild match at The Great American Bash, in which Perez emerged victorious . However, at Night 1 of Halloween Havoc, she won against Kiana James but suffered a loss to James in a steel cage match at Deadline, due to interference from Izzi Dame.


On the January 16, 2024, episode of NXT, Perez emerged victorious in a women's contender battle royal, earning the right to challenge NXT Women's Champion Lyra Valkyria for the title at Vengeance Day. Perez then entered the 2024 Royal Rumble match at number 27, only to be eliminated by Stratton. At NXT Vengeance Day 2024, Perez faced Valkyria but was defeated. However, during the match, Lola Vice capitalised on her Breakout Tournament contract, turning the bout into a triple threat. Later, at NXT Roadblock 2024, Perez took a villainous turn by attacking Valkyria, cementing her heel persona.
