Cora Jade

Brianna Coda, better known by her ring name, Cora Jade is an American-born professional wrestler who currently works with WWE under the NXT brand. Born on January 14, 2001, Jade is a promising wrestler in the world of the squared circle.

Jade is a former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion, which she won alongside Roxanne Perez. She is also the second-youngest person to ever hold the title after her partner Perez.

Personal Life

Brianna Coda was born in 2001 on the 14th of January in Chicago, Illinois, USA, and has been a pro-wrestling fan for years citing CM Punk, AJ Lee, and The Shield as her favorite wrestlers. Cora Jade previously dated Christian Hubble whom WWE fans might know by the name Trey Baxter and AEW fans by the name Blake Christian.

Since the summer of 2022, Jade is dating fellow NXT wrestler and former NXT Champion Bron Breakker. The two joined WWE around the same time in 2021 and are regarded as some of the most promising talents in the wrestling community.

Professional Wrestling Career

Jade started her wrestling training and career at a rather younger age. She trained at the Freelance Wrestling Academy by Bryce Benjamin and Isaias Velazquez and made her pro-wrestling debut in late-2018 under the ring name Elyana Black. As Elayna Black, Jade would go on to compete in indies, Impact Wrestling, and All Elite Wrestling over a span of two years competing against the likes of Havoc, Brandi Rhodes, and Red Velvet.

Cora Jade joined WWE in January 2021 and signed a contract with NXT. She made her debut at the now-defunct 205 Live on the 22nd of that month, which was also her first match under her current ring name. Later that year, Jade would win the NXT WarGames match for her team and got a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship, which she failed to capture.

At The Great American Bash in 2022, Jade and Roxanne Perez defeated Jacy Jayne and Dolin to become the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions. Just two weeks later, on July 12, 2022, Jade turned heel and attacked her partner Perez when the latter challenged Mandy Rose for the NXT Women's Championship. The following week, she threw her tag titles in the trash, vowing to earn success in the singles division.

She failed to win a 20-woman battle royal and then went on to feud against her former partner Roxanne Perez for the rest of the year. At NXT Heatwave, she defeated Perez in a singles match. She then picked Rhea Ripley as Perez's opponent while she defeated Raquel Rodriguez by DQ, the opponent chosen by Roxanne Perez. At Halloween Havoc, she lost to Perez in a rematch.

Jade most recently partook in the tournament for the vacant NXT Women's Championship where she lost to Lyra Valkyria in the semi-finals. Valkyria, however, failed to capitalize on the opportunity and lost to Tiffany Stratton in the finals.
