Edinburgh Rocks is a Twenty20 franchise team based in Edinburgh, Scotland. The team will compete against five other teams in Euro T20 Slam, whose inaugural edition is scheduled to start from 30 August 2019. The tournament will be played across three nations, Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands.
The teams will have a minimum of nine domestic players and a maximum of seven overseas players in their squads. On match days, at least six of the 11 will be domestic players. Edinburgh Rocks are one of the two teams from Scotland, the other being Glasgow Giants.
In the Euro T20 Slam draft completed at London, New Zealand’s Martin Guptill was revealed as team’s Icon player. Chris Lynn is team’s marquee player.
Edinburgh Rocks’ home ground is The Grange Club in Edinburgh. Former England player, Mark Ramprakash will be the team’s coach. The team will play its first match of Euro T20 Slam against Dublin Chiefs at VRA Cricket Ground, Amstelveen on 31 August 2019.
