Chase University is a group of Andre Chase, Duke Hudson, Thea Hail, Jacy Jayne, and Riley Osborne. It is currently signed to WWE where it is drafted on the NXT brand.

History

Professor Andre Chase stormed onto the NXT scene on September 21st, 2021, whipping out a new persona - a strict, heel teacher. His "Andre Chase University" segment quickly became a staple, and soon, eager pupils Bodhi Hayward and Thea Hail enrolled. But Chase's methods softened over time, leading to a gradual face turn.

Their September 20th, 2022 victory over Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams marked a huge win for the University. November brought bad news – Hayward was released by WWE. The November 1st episode saw a quick replacement – Duke Hudson. Professor Chase and his U kept the momentum going after a near-title shot at NXT Vengeance Day. They battled Schism (including a surprise assist from Tyler Bate!) at Stand & Deliver, ending with a triumphant win.

While Chase fell to Bron Breakker at Spring Breakin', Thea Hail rose through the ranks, becoming the #1 contender for the Women's title. She started becoming rebellious and criticizing Chase’s actions. She also formed a bond with Jacy Jayne who soon joined the fold, forming a tag team with Hai.

Chase and Hudson conquered a battle royal, earning a shot at the Tag Team titles! At Halloween Havoc, they dethroned D'Angelo and Stacks to bring Chase University their first title. Unfortunately, the reign was short-lived, with D'Angelo and Stacks reclaiming the gold in November.

On the December 5, 2023, episode of NXT, Riley Osborne also joined the University, becoming its 5th and, to date, final member. He entered the Men’s NXT Breakout Tournament and Hail had a kayfabe crush on him. On the other hand, the University was in debt because Chase had spent all their funds on gambling.

In the tournament, Osborne reached the finals of the tournaments after beating Keanu Carver and Lexis King but fell short of Oba Femi. Hudson and Osborne then took part in the Men’s Dusty Rhodes Classic where they lost to Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde in the first round. The University’s equipment was carried away by the debt-funders in January 2024. The next week, Jacy Jayne created the 2024 Ladies of Chase U calender and assured that its sales would be suffice to save the University from bankruptcy. Chase then made her an official member of the group.
