Shayni Maitra is a college sports journalist with Sportskeeda who is also pursuing a double honors degree in Criminal Psychology and Education.

Shayni supports the Harvard Crimson football team, firstly because she likes their outfits, and also because each member has got a lot of potential.

Hannah Perryman is her favorite player. She spent four years at Division II's Missouri-St. Louis where she had a record-setting career in which she struck out 1,725 of 3,757 batters faced (a DII record). Perryman also went 30-5 in 2015, with six of those games ending in perfection, while her 2016 senior season saw some untouchable records, such as striking out 567 batters.

Shayni is a full-time kathak dancer, so most of the time she will either be dancing or sketching. She also loves watching movies, and particularly enjoys the creepy/gross variety, with a lot of blood and fighting and mind-boggling twists and turns.
