Melanie has been writing professionally since 2007, when she accidentally stumbled upon a job as a writer for the local weekly newspaper. After writing for this publication consistently for about a year, the daily paper approached her and asked if she would like a staff position. Melanie quickly fell into the role of features and entertainment writer, writing for sections such as; Weekend, Business, Parenting, Consumer, among others.
