With the release of the 2024 NFL schedule on May 15, 2024, we now have official confirmation of the games that will be played on Thursday Night Football (TNF). Furthermore, as Amazon has once again bagged the rights to Thursday games, they have come out and released their own Thursday Night Football schedule which so it will be easy for fans to mark their calendars.

Thursday Night Football games are being broadcast exclusively on Amazon Prime. In 2022, the NFL awarded the rights of TNF to Amazon streaming services, which has no doubt increased its revenue.

Thursday Night Football Kickoff Time

The Thursday Night Football kickoff time is generally the same throughout the year and is set to 8:15 p.m. ET (Eastern time). However, fans who want to watch the pregame coverage can do so by tuning in to TNF Tonight which will air from 7:00 p.m. ET onwards. Thursday Night Football Tonight will once again be hosted by Charissa Thompson, Ryan Fitzpatrick , Tony Gonzalez, and Richard Sherman .

The first game of the 2024 NFL season will take place between the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday, September 05, 2024. However, it is essential to note that this game has been assigned to NBC and Amazon will only start streaming games from week 2 onwards. As a result, you will not find the week 1 game between the Ravens and the Chiefs on Amazon’s TNF schedule.

Thursday Night Football Key Matchups ( Week 3 - New England Patriots vs New York Jets )

The New England Patriots will get their first primetime game of the season when they take on the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football to kick off the Week 3 schedule. Both teams enter Week 3 with a 1-1 record. The Patriots began the season with a bang, beating the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 1 before a close defeat to the Seattle Seahawks. The Jets had their own set of problems, leaving Week 1 Monday Night Football with a loss against the Christian McCaffrey-less San Francisco 49ers before getting back to winning ways with a win over the Tennessee Titans this past Sunday.

There’s a lot to look forward to on Week 3’s Thursday Night Football schedule. Aaron Rodgers is still getting used to playing less hero-ball in an effort to democratize the offense to make space for Breece Hall’s explosiveness and rookie Braelon Allen. The Patriots, meanwhile, are building an identity as tough, no-nonsense competitors under Jerod Mayo. We’re yet to see rookie Drake Maye take any snaps under center but expect this TNF game to be an entertaining one.
