Growing up in a tough neighborhood like Yazoo City, Mississippi, Cox saw a lot of violence and drug users around. He has credited his mother, and his grandmother for keeping him straight and away from all the dangers around.

Fletcher Cox’s Contract

After a six-year $103 million deal that Cox had previously signed, now he currently signed with the Eagles on a one-year $10 million deal. It was immediately after the previous season ended, in March 2023. The contract is fully guaranteed and has a cap hit of $5.7 million.

His previous contract which he had signed with the Eagles in 2016 was worth $103 million and included $63 million in guaranteed money. During that time, it had made Cox the highest-paid defensive tackle ever.
