NASCAR fans on social media criticized Richard Childress Racing after they watched Kyle Busch cutting his wrist brace using not-so-sharp scissors. In a video shared by NASCAR, Busch was seen struggling to cut the brace while driving in the Cook Out 400 at Richmond.

Besides having a tough season, the RCR driver suffered a sprained wrist following his crash at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. As a result, he had wrist braces to help him ease the pain and drive at Richmond.

However, it seemed that the wrist brace was too tight for the RCR man, and he decided to cut it off. After a few struggling moments, he was able to get a quality cut and continued to race.

Reacting to the video, fans on X trolled Richard Childress Racing on their inability to step up with a 'sharp' scissor. Below are some reactions taken from the micro-blogging site:

A fan wrote criticizing Busch's team, "RCR can’t even find sharp scissors."
Another fan wrote on Busch's Terminator avatar, "Who knew Kyle Busch is the modern-day terminator?"
"What is he doing with those scissors?," asked a fan, who apparently did not know what was doing on."
"Kyle driving with scissors, that’s my goat," another fan wrote, hailing the RCR driver.
Another fan wrote on Busch's creativity while driving, "Arts and craft with Kyle Busch."
Another fan wrote, pointing at the NASCAR playoffs, "Kyle Busch will apparently do anything to make the cut for the #NASCAR Playoffs."

Kyle Busch's wretched run in the 2024 NASCAR regular season continued in Richmond when the Richard Childress Racing driver faced a delayed pit stop at Cook Out 400 at the Richmond Raceway. This jeopardized all his chances of a race win and playoff qualification.

As per Bob Pokrass, the RCR crew had to re-jack the car to tighten a wheel, and it resulted in a delayed pit stop, which ruined his Richmond race. Kyle Busch started the race from 12th position and was doing a decent job with an 18th position finish at the end of Stage 1.

However, he dropped places after the delayed pit stop and, in the end, finished the race in 12th position, the same position he started his race from. As of now, the RCR man is in 18th place in the regular season standings, with 440 points after 23 races.

He is 122 points behind in the playoffs cutline, with only three spots available. One cannot expect him to trim such a huge gap and qualify unless he takes a victory in the next couple of races.
