NASCAR 2024: Points table after Cook Out 400 at Richmond Raceway

Twenty-three races have taken place in the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. Austin Dillon clinched his first win of the season after winning the Cook Out 400 at the Richmond Raceway on Sunday, August 11.

In a race that was filled with late drama, Dillon took the checkered flag after knocking both Joey Logano and Denny Hamlin out of his way on the final lap of the race.

With the win, Dillon secured his berth in the 2024 playoffs and gained 50 points. He moved to 26th place in the Cup Series points table with 344 points.

After finishing P7, Kyle Larson gained 30 points and maintained the top position in the points table. He has a five-point lead over Tyler Reddick with 779 points.

After a runner-up finish at Richmond, Denny Hamlin gained 52 points and moved to fourth position in the points table with 758 points. Hamlin is in the mix for the regular season championship as he is just 21 points behind points leader Larson.

Martin Truex Jr., who started on the front row, suffered an early engine failure that knocked him out of the race. He gained just nine points and is eighth in the points table with 662 points.

Ryan Blaney, the defending NASCAR Cup Series champion, finished 11th. He gained 26 points and is fifth in the points table with 702 points.
