LIV Golf Invitational Miami 2023

The tournament schedule for the 2023 LIV Golf Team Championship, which will be held at Miami's Trump National Doral Golf Club from October 20–22, has been confirmed by LIV Golf. The three-day tournament, which is seeded and will include both match play and stroke play, will be held on the famous Blue Monster course.

Tickets for the world-class golf tournament, which features many of the biggest names in the game, are available at LIVGolf.com. The site also offers three and one-day grounds passes that include all on-site fan events, such as Alesso's live concert on Saturday and Fisher's show on Sunday.

After the 13th event, which was scheduled for October 13–15 at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in Jeddah, teams will be seeded 1–12 for the LIV Golf Team Championship based on the final regular season team rankings.

LIV Golf Invitational Miami 2023 History

The first layout for a new golf tour to compete with the PGA Tour was made public with the announcement of a league that will be called the Premier Golf League in 2019. PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan responded by suggesting golfers would not be permitted to compete in PGA Tour tournaments if they wanted to play in a rival league.

There were talks between the Premier Golf League and Saudi investors about a financial partnership, but in 2020, the Public Investment Fund's Golf Saudi division provided funding to a new group that aimed to establish a worldwide professional league—a concept known as the "Super Golf League." This firm was formally founded in October 2021 as LIV Golf Investments, and its CEO is former professional golfer Greg Norman.

The term "LIV" refers to "forty-four," written in Roman numerals, which is both the total number of holes required to be played in LIV competitions and the score that would be achieved by birdieing every hole on a par-72 course.

There were eight 54-hole no-cut stroke play events in the first season of the LIV Golf Invitational Series. A final Team Championship, a "seeded four-day, four-round, match play knock-out" event, was planned for October 2022 at Trump National Doral Miami.

In June 2022, it was revealed that LIV Golf would transform into a league structure with a 14-event schedule and contracted players the following year. On July 27, 2022, Norman disclosed that LIV Golf will be implementing a promotion and relegation system. In 2023, a merger between LIV Golf and the PGA Tour was announced.

October 20 - Quarterfinals

All four of the top teams will receive byes. The top-ranked team will choose their opponents in head-to-head matchplay between the remaining teams (5–12).

Three matches will be played concurrently, with a shotgun start, involving all 32 players from Teams 5–12 in two singles matches and one foursome match.

The bouts will continue until a winner is established because there won't be any ties. A win in a match is worth one point. The first team to score two points advances to the semifinal round.

October 21 - Semifinals

The victorious teams from the previous day's competition will face off against the teams that were given a bye (1-4). The teams with the highest rankings will select their opponents. The day's schedule is identical to the quarterfinals' schedule.

In the final round on Sunday, the top four teams will be determined by the four teams that manage to secure two points.

On the final leaderboard, however, the remaining teams will place 5-8 as they finish. After this Sunday's final, the teams that were ousted in the quarterfinals will take up positions 9–12.

October 22 - Finals

One round of stroke play will be played by every player from the twelve teams. The total of the four individual scores will be the team score.

The four teams that advanced through the semi-finals will play for first-fourth place, and the four teams that lost will play for fifth-eighth place.

The ninth through twelfth spots on the standings will be contested by the four teams that were ousted on Friday in the quarterfinals.

LIV Golf Invitational Miami 2023 Course

The 2023 LIV Golf Invitational Miami will be held at the Trump National Doral in Miami, South Florida, in the USA, at the Blue Monster Course.

It was founded in 1962 by real estate industry visionary Alfred Kaskel. His wife Doris's first name was combined to create the name "Doral". At present, it features 72 holes of golf, with the Blue Monster at Doral serving as its trademark course.

The resort spans 800 acres, or 3.2 kilometers. Before its renovation, it was reported that the club had "four golf courses; 700 hotel rooms across 10 lodges; more than 86,000 square feet (8,000 m2) of meeting space, including a 25,000-square-foot (2,300 m2) ballroom; a 50,000-square-foot (4,600 m2) spa with 33 treatment rooms; six food and beverage outlets; extensive retail; and a private members' clubhouse."

In 2022, Dustin Johnson's all-American 4 Aces team won the season-ending Team Championship here. There will be a high level of competition in Florida, as it will now feature both individual and team competition.

Johnson had many pleasant recollections of the course. Along with Phil Mickelson and Patrick Reed, he was a winner of the World Golf Championship event, which was held here for ten years.

LIV Golf Invitational Miami 2023 Field List

At the 2023 LIV Golf Jeddah event at Royal Greens Golf and Country Club in King Abdullah Economic City on October 15, Brooks Koepka, 33, successfully defended his title and claimed victory for the third time since entering the Greg Norman-led and Saudi Arabia-backed circuit.

Koepka will earn $4 million as the top reward for his efforts, bringing his total earnings this season on the course to $13,397,333.

Although Taylor Gooch fell to Koepka in a playoff match, the 31-year-old will get the ultimate reward as he wins the season-long individual championship and gets to keep the generous $18 million bonus. He took home $2.25 million for coming in second place.

Players who have qualified for the 2023 LIV Golf Invitational Miami

Talor Gooch won the LIV Golf League individual championship in 2023 as a result of his steady play. He earned the most individual titles in a single season, three.

In addition to winning twice apiece this season, Cameron Smith, Brooks Koepka, and Bryson DeChambeau finished second, third, and fourth in the individual rankings.

The only three golfers in the LIV Golf League this season to win at least one event were Harold Varner III, Charles Howell III, and Danny Lee.

This season, Torque GC, led by Joaquin Niemann, won the most team titles—four. With 183 points, they are nine points behind Dustin Johnson's 4 Aces GC in third place in the team standings.
