Sanju Samson shared a heartwarming picture with his wife Charulatha Remesh on Monday, July 15. The Instagram post came a day after Samson’s heroics against Zimbabwe in the fifth and final T20I of a five-match series.

Notably, the wicketkeeper-batter slammed 58 runs off 45 balls with the help of a boundary and four sixes before the Men in Blue won the game by 42 runs to seal the series 4-1.

Samson had more than one reason to smile with his better half as he also completed 300 sixes in T20 cricket. During his knock, the Kerala batter treated the fans with a monstrous 110-meter six out of the ground in the game.

Samson captioned his social media post:

“My Happy Girl!!”

“Sanju Samson has just put his hand up” – Abhinav Mukund lauds Samson for playing a mature knock against Zimbabwe

Former India cricketer Abhinav Mukund has praised Sanju Samson for delivering for his team in a crunch situation against Zimbabwe in the fifth T20I. He recently told Sony Sports Network:

"It's a tough place to be Sanju Samson in Indian cricket because with all that talent, sometimes he tends to frustrate you, he doesn't show the maturity. I feel that's where captaining in the IPL, like he told me earlier, has really helped him because he plays with superstars but he also deals with youngsters as well like Riyan Parag and Yashasvi Jaiswal."
"That's where you see his maturity as a batter come through. There is immense competition for a wicketkeeper slot in Indian cricket at the moment, and Sanju Samson has just put his hand up today and said 'Listen, I am still here, so you better not count me out in any of these conversation,” he added.

Samson will next be in action during the upcoming India tour of Sri Lanka, comprising three T20Is and as many ODIs later this month.
