D'Angelo Russell

D'Angelo Russel is an American professional basketball player born on February 23, 1996, in Louisville, Kentucky, United States. He was drafted as the second overall pick by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2015 NBA draft and currently plays as a point guard for the same team.

D’Angelo started his NBA career after being selected by the Los Angeles Lakers on June 25, 2015, as the second overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft. In a match against the Atlanta Hawks on December 4, D’Angelo recorded his first career double-double with 16 points and ten rebounds. He participated in the 2016 Rising Stars Challenge and scored 22 points and seven assists in Team USA’s victory over Team World. Following an arthroscopic surgery on November 17 on his left knee, he was ruled out indefinitely. He missed 32 games of the season and made his return on January 19.
