WrestleMania 31: Title Changes we are bound to see at the Pay-Per-View

Winning a championship at WrestleMania would probably be the ultimate aim of some superstars. It is indeed a big achievement but getting there is never a cake walk. Every title change that happened ever in the history of Mania had a lot of effort behind it and the same applies to WrestleMania 31 as well. The latest edition of the company’s biggest pay-per-view of the year will prove to be the platform for a handful of superstars to snatch some gold. But as they say, there are always two sides to everything. While the new champions will be showered with praises, the one who lost will be buried unless the match was a five star outing. We are bound to see some similar situations on March 29 and here is a look at those possible ones.

#3 United States Championship

The United States Championship is having a high profile feud in the form of Rusev vs. John Cena. Having a superstar like John Cena is always good for any Championship and the United States title is no different. Rusev will be elevated by the opportunity as well, but the match might be haunted by predictability.

Cena winning is the most likely outcome that might come out of Mania. This will put the gold on Cena’s waist for the time being and though it’s only fitting to feel bad for Rusev, having a midcard title on Cena could do wonders.

It will breathe some life into the whole midcard scenario and WWE could have a handful of other good feuds for the title as well after WrestleMania.

#2 Intercontinental Championship

Intercontinental championship has been treated as the hardcore championship for the time being. The whole stealing gimmick has considerably crashed the credibility of the title but then again, at least it is having some progress.

As things stand now, six superstars will be fighting it out for the championship at Mania in a ladder match and the odds are stacked against Bad News Barrett. All the challengers involved in the match are worthy enough of carrying the gold and there is also the potential addition of Daniel Bryan waiting to happen.

Bryan, if he gets added, is the favorite to walk out with the title with Stardust, Dean Ambrose and Dolph Ziggler being the other favorites in order. And yes, R-Truth winning the title would be a complete riot as well.

#1 WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Brock Lesnar’s contract is running out after WrestleMania, Roman Reigns is eager to have a WrestleMania moment and Seth Rollins will be lurking around with his Money in the Bank briefcase, all these factors point to a clear title change at the pay-per-view.

Lesnar has been the champion for a long time now but has only defended his title on limited occasions. WWE needs to have a much more regular champion post Mania and Reigns or Rollins would be the perfect choice for the same.

On the other side, WWE needs to find a proper climax to Lesnar’s run. He will most likely jump to UFC at the end of the contract and if that’s the case, WWE should give Lesnar a farewell that no one would forget.
