The WWE SmackDown before Bad Blood kicked off with country artist Hardy welcoming AJ Styles back to the show. AJ stepped in the ring and said he was ready to remind the locker room about the Phenomenal one.

Carmelo Hayes interrupted him and called him an 'old-timer' before saying he was holding down SmackDown when he was gone.

Styles wanted to advise Melo, but the latter said he never took advice from quitters. AJ said that if Melo was so great, he should be the United States Champion before challenging him to a match. Melo refused the challenge and was about to walk about when LA Knight arrived.

Knight brought up the last time AJ was out in the ring when he pretended to retire before giving Melo two options: Either he walks to the ring and punches Melo in the face, or Hayes accepts Styles' challenge. If Melo can beat AJ tonight, Knight will offer him a US Title match!

We got a short teaser for what looks to be fresh new faces, who are reportedly legendary tag team Motor City Machine Guns on WWE SmackDown.

WWE SmackDown Results: Michin vs. Chelsea Green - Dumpster match

Michin started off with double kendo sticks but tossed one to Chelsea before the match began. Green took some shots with a kendo stick before she was dropkicked outside, and Miching hit a big dive. Michin brought some chairs, trashcans, and a table out from under the ring as the match went on.

Back after a break on SmackDown, Michin put a trash can on Chelsea's head and hit a senton on it before setting up a table, blocking the top of the dumpster. Piper Niven showed up and attacked Michin, hitting a big senton and trying for a cannonball against the dumpster, only to miss as Michin sidestepped.

Green got a big boot on the apron before she was powerbombed from the apron and through the table into the dumpster below. Both women ended up inside the dumpster, and Michin crawled out before closing the lid and picking up the win.

We learned that AJ Styles had a left ankle injury, and the former world champion had to be taken to a hospital for X-rays.

Bayley was out next and called Nia Jax out, saying that she could bring Tiffany if she wanted.

Jax and Stratton showed up, and Bayley said Nia had never understood what the WWE Women's Championship meant to the fans and the others in the locker room.

Bayley tried to drive a wedge between Stratton and Jax, and it worked since Tiffany declared that she could beat Nia any day.

As soon as Nia questioned her, Stratton backed off, and Bayley called her a 'stupid b**ch.'

Stratton tried to attack Bayley with the Money in the Bank briefcase, but the latter took her down before Nia attacked Bayley. The Role Model turned it around and took Nia down with a running knee before holding up the Women's Title and leaving.

After Bayley was gone, Stratton picked up her briefcase. It looked like she might cash it in, but then she reconsidered before Nia got up and left angrily.

Chelsea Green and Piper Niven were backstage, and everyone they passed gagged because of the smell of the dumpster. Even Nick Aldis made some trash puns before Melo came in to ask him about the title match.

Aldis told him that he cared more about AJ's health at the moment before Melo walked out.

WWE SmackDown Results: Naomi vs. Tiffany Stratton

Naomi was in control early on and got a big dropkick for a near fall before hitting Stratton with a vertical suplex.

Stratton got a big counter for a near fall of her own before taking the split takedown on the apron.

Back after a break on SmackDown, Naomi hit a flying crossbody, and Stratton missed her big moonsault before getting a splash in the corner.

The two exchanged pin attempts and reversals before Naomi walked away with the three-count.

WWE SmackDown Results: The Bloodline (c) vs. The Street Profits vs. DIY - Triple Threat Ladder match for the WWE Tag Team Championships

The match started with an all-out brawl, and the rest of the Bloodline was ejected from the ring early on before DIY and the Profits teamed up to get some big takedowns on the champs at ringside.

Back after a break on SmackDown, The Bloodline isolated Ciampa at ringside and ran into him with a ladder before Angelo hit a big dive on them through the ladder. Gargano and Ford followed up with big dives of their own, clearing the crowd.

Ford got a table from under the ring before setting it up at ringside. In the ring, DIY stopped the Bloodline from climbing up the ladder by taking Tama Tonga out with the Shatter Machine.

The Street Profits were the next to climb the ladder, and Tama Tonga dropped Dawkins before driving him into a ladder on the apron.

B-Fab stopped the Bloodline from getting chair shots on Dawkins before DIY took the champ down from behind and helped Ford put Tonga Loa through a table with a top rope splash!

Tama Tonga was put through the announce desk with a powerbomb before DIY, and the Profits ended up on top of the ladder in the ring. Tonga Loa came back and put all of them through ladders before retrieving the tag titles!
