WWE NXT Results: TNA star makes shocking debut; former AEW stars attack Trick Williams

WWE NXT kicked off with the Battle Royal to select the new No.1 Contender for the NXT Championship. Je'Von Evans came out first, followed by TNA star Joe Hendry.

The debuting Hendry got on the mic to cut a promo and said he would win tonight and eventually bring the NXT Title with him to TNA.


WWE NXT Results (June 18, 2024):

  • Je'Von Evans won the 25-man Battle Royal

WWE NXT Results: 25-Man Battle Royal

Oro Mensah attacked Page right off the bat, and the two went outside the ring but not over the ropes. Joe Hendry was the first to be eliminated, followed by Edris Enofe. Thanks to Tony D., Shawn Spears took out Eddy Thorpe, and Damon Kemp eliminated Dempsey and Malik Blade.

Kemp and Myles Borne were the next to go before Los Lotharios/Legado del Fantasma took out Apollo Crews. Lexis King sent Garza and Berto over the ropes before Tyler Bate did the same to Tank. Nathan Frazer took out Tony D before being eliminated himself by Dragon Lee.

Ridge Holland was eliminated, followed by Tyler Bate, before Frankie Kazarian was also sent out. Dragon Lee, Shawn Spears, and Je'Von Evans remained in the ring before Spears eliminated Lee. Evans and Spears fought before the Young OG hit a superkick and sent him outside for the win.

A note: Ethan Page was never officially eliminated from the match.

Result: Je'Von Evans won the Battle Royal

Backstage, Chase U and The O.C. set up a match tonight as NXT continued.


WWE NXT Results: Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx vs. Lola Vice & Roxanne Perez vs. Meta-Four (Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend)

Perez and Vice were in control early on, and Jayne accidentally hit Nyx with a cannonball in the corner. Jackson sent Jayne into the steel steps outside before Perez hit a big dive to the outside.

Perez sent Jayne into the barricades before getting big elbows in the ring. Meta Four hit their combined finisher on Nyx, but the pin was broken. Lola hit the back fist before Roxanne got the Pop Rox on Jackson for the win.

Result: Lola Vice & Roxanne Perez def. Jacy Jayne, Jazmyn Nyx & Meta-Four

After the match, Roxanne and Lola were celebrating when Roxanne took Vice down with a back fist of her own, kicked her in the face, and walked out.

Grade: B


Backstage on NXT, Ethan Page challenged the results of the Battle Royal match before Je'Von challenged him to a one-on-one match tonight.


WWE NXT Results: Kelani Jordan (c) vs. Michin - NXT Women’s North American Championship match

To start things off, the challenger made some big moves, and The O.C. showed up at ringside to support Michin. Michin missed a big dive to the outside before Jordan took her out with a dive of her own.

In the ring, Michin locked in a hold before the two traded some chops, and the champ returned with a German Suplex. Jordan hit a Frankensteiner for a near fall before OTM came out for some reason and got in the O.C.'s face.

Jaida Parker attacked Michin off the distraction, allowing Jordan to come in with the split moonsault and pick up the win.

Result: Kelani Jordan def. Michin to retain the NXT Women’s North American Championship

Grade: B+


Axiom and Nathan Frazer were backstage when Luca Crusifino came in with a Heritage Cup match contract.


Oba Femi was out next, and Wes Lee came out to confront him. Lee said he was never pinned in the Triple Threat title match and wanted a fair shot at the North American Championship.

Oba said that Lee was done getting free chances and was about to leave when Lee taunted him, saying that Oba wasn't ready to face the new Cardiac Kid.

Oba was intrigued and gave Lee the title match, but it would be the final time, at least as long as Femi was the champ. Lee agreed to the terms and walked away.


The New Quarter Catch Crew was interviewing its new recruit, Tavion Heights, and Charlie Dempsey wanted him to face Damon Kemp. If Tavion wins, he will join the group.


WWE NXT Results: Carlee Bright vs. Fallon Henley

Bright started with a wristlock, but Henley came in with a big knee strike and kicked her in the corner. Bright recovered and tried for a sleeper hold before Wendy Choo came out and attacked Kendal Grey, knocking her out with a sleeper hold at ringside.

Back in the ring, Bright tried for a crossbody, but Fallon caught her with a suplex and hit the shining wizard for the win.

Result: Fallon Henley def. Carlee Bright

Grade: C


WWE NXT Results: The O.C. vs. Chase U

Anderson and Andre started the match, and Vic Joseph said that Trick Williams had texted him to tell him that the champ would be on commentary for the main event. In the ring, Duke Hudson tagged in and took control of the match, but Luke Gallows stopped him.

Chase was back in, and Gallows dragged him to their corner to isolate him while hitting elbow drops and power slams. Chase came out of the corner with a big boot and made the tag before Hudson took Gallows out on the apron and hit a big inverted rana on Anderson for a near fall.

Chase was back in and took Gallows out with a dive to the outside as Hudson got the pin in the ring.

Result: Chase U def. The O.C.

Grade: B


Backstage, Kelani Jordan picked Sol Ruca as her next title opponent.

Arianna Grace did not like that decision, so Ava and Mr. Stone booked a match between her and Ruca next week.


WWE NXT Results: Ethan Page vs. Je'Von Evans

Trick Williams was on commentary, and Booker T was not happy that the champ texted Vic and not him earlier. Page got some strikes on the Young OG and grounded him before repeatedly spearing into his ribs in the corner.

Evans took a big slam for a near fall before he countered the Ego's Edge and hit a double stomp. Page tried for a hold, but Evans broke out and hit a DDT counter before heading up top.

Evans was too slow, and Page dropped him before getting the Ego's Edge for the win.

Result: Ethan Page def. Je'Von Evans

Grade: B+


After the match, Trick Williams confronted Page, and Shawn Spears attacked Je'Von in the ring. Trick headed to the ring to make the save before Spears and Page kicked the champ in the corner. Evans came in with a dive and took the former AEW stars down before NXT went off the air.
