WWE NXT Results: Star almost quits; TNA invasion; The Rock's daughter Ava makes major signings

Newly crowned WWE NXT champion Ethan Page kicked off the show tonight to celebrate his Heatwave win. He was very quickly interrupted by Oro Mensah, who tried to attack the new champ.

Luckily, Page had a security team with him, and they took Mensah out before he could do any damage. Page said that "He was NXT" and that we were in the Era of Ego.

Trick Williams came out to interrupt the NXT champ next and said that he was going to get his rematch and win the title back. Page denied the rematch, and Shawn Spears showed up to say that Ethan owed him a thank you for the win. Je'Von Evans showed up as well for a full Heatwave reunion, and a brawl broke out before NXT continued.


WWE NXT Results: Arianna Grace vs. Karmen Petrovic

Grace got an early takedown and taunted Petrovic, who blocked a strike and took her down with a big lariat. Petrovic was in control and locked in a submission hold as Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx showed up at ringside.

Grace broke out of the hold, got a backfist and some strikes, and took Karmen down with a boot to the face. Petrovic got the leg sweep before coming back with a spinning kick for the win.

Result: Karmen Petrovic def. Arianna Grace

Fallon Henley showed up and beat Karmen down after the match, flanked by Jayne and Nyx.

Grade: B


Brooks Jensen was back and had a meeting with Ava in her office. Brooks apologized to Ava and HBK before she told him he was about to be let go but had some supporters backstage who pleaded his case.

The Rock's daughter gave Jensen a second chance and added that Brooks should play the part of a WWE Superstar if he wanted to keep his job.


WWE NXT Results: Tony D’Angelo vs. Lexis King - Heritage Cup match

Round 1 saw Tony in control early on. He got a side headlock on King before hitting an arm drag and transitioning to an armbar. King came back with some strikes but was caught in a Boston Crab as the clock counted down.

Tony got a quick pin in Round 2, ending the round with a 1-0. Round 3 saw King hit the Coronation for a quick pin. Round 4 kicked off, and Tony hit a big DDT before getting a near fall. King returned with a superkick, but the Coronation was reversed before Tony hit a spinebuster for the win.

Result: Tony D’Angelo def. Lexis King to retain the Heritage Cup

Grade: B+


Brooks Jensen attacked Je'Von Evans backstage and took him out before Josh Briggs and Ava came out to stop it.

The two accosted Jensen, who said he was trying to 'make an impact.'


WWE NXT Results: Gallus vs. Tyriek Igwe & Tyson Dupont

Tyriek and Tyson attacked Gallus during their entrance, and the match started when they headed to the ring. Tyriek and Wolfgang were in the ring early on, and the latter took a big cross-body before Mark interfered and hit a cheap shot from the apron while the ref was looking away.

Both teams were screaming and shouting throughout the match, and thanks to a distraction from Joe Coffey, Tyson was sent outside. This allowed Gallus to hit their finisher on Igwe for the win.

Result: Gallus def. Tyriek Igwe & Tyson Dupont

Grade: B


Trick Williams was in a backstage interview and said he needed to look for a tag team partner.

When he was done, Joe Hendry's face flashed on the monitor behind him for a split second, teasing the TNA Star's arrival to NXT.


Wes Lee was out next and said he was disappointed after the Heatwave loss. The crowd chanted, "Please don't go" and "No" as Wes said that he was ready to step away, but TNA Tag Team Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zach Wentz) showed up.

Wes' former tag team partners said they would not let Wes make a stupid mistake, and they were now on NXT to get MSK back together!

It should be noted that Wes Lee helped create the group Rascalz in TNA in 2018 under the name Dezmond Xavier before forming MSK in NXT.


WWE NXT Results: Thea Hail vs. Izzi Dame

Thea got some big takedowns early on but was sent into the corner with a modified small package. Hail took a backbreaker before Dame locked in a cross-face in the middle of the ring.

Tatum Paxley showed up at ringside, and Dame ran out to pick up a fight with her. Hail used the distraction to get a big dive before dragging her to the ring and getting more big takedowns. Dame looked like her hand was injured before Hail got the Kimura Lock for the win.

Oba Femi showed up on the balcony and said he would face Duke Hudson next week and destroy him.

Hudson told the champ not to underestimate him and that he would give Femi a 'Chase U-sized a** whooping.'

Lee and MSK/Rascalz were backstage and ran into Gallows, setting up a future feud.


Briggs and Jensen were in Ava's office, and Brooks was getting yelled at again for derailing the main event.

Briggs took responsibility for his former tag partner, and Stevie Turner said that Briggs should partner with Trick Williams tonight at the main event.


WWE NXT Results: OTM vs. The O.C.

Gallows took a big, stalling vertical suplex from Bronco Nima but was isolated by The O.C. as the match continued. Nima speared Anderson into their corner and isolated him before getting the tag to Lucien.

Anderson took a big slam and a clothesline in the corner before Gallows returned and tried to rip Nima's mask off to expose his broken nose. Michin attacked Jaida Parker at ringside, which distracted OTM and led to the win off a double-team move on Anderson.

Result: OTM def. The O.C.

Grade: B


No Quarter Catch Crew was in the parking lot, and they shoved someone in the trunk of a car before driving off. It may have been Damon Kemp in the trunk. Wren Sinclair saw them but then ran off.


WWE NXT Results: Sol Ruca vs. Fallon Henley

Henley taunted Ruca early on and got some big kicks to the midsection and the head for a near fall. Henley got another near fall off a facebuster before Ruca took her down and got a modified cutter/stunner.

Ruca came back with the Sol Snatcher for the quick win.

Results: Sol Ruca def. Fallon Henley

Jayce Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx attacked Ruca after the match and took her down before NXT moved on.

Grade: C


We saw Tatum Paxley talking to a doll about Izzi Dame and making some threats before ripping the toy's head off. Wendy Choo picked up the broken doll after Paxley walked off.

Turner and Stone brought Cedric Alexander and Ashante "Thee" Adonis to NXT to impress Ava. It turns out that Ava was also signing them.


WWE NXT Results: Trick Williams & Joe Hendry vs. Ethan Page & Shawn Spears

Joe Hendry showed up to join Trick Williams in the main event, and the crowd went wild. Trick was in control early on, and Hendry tagged in after a break but took a big DDT from Page. Spears taunted Trick before Page got a Guillotine on Hendry, but the latter turned it into a suplex and made the tag for Williams.

Trick took a double-team suplex before Trick countered the C4 from Spears. Oro Mensah ran in and chased Page off into the crowd before Hendry tagged in and got a big DDT on Spears. Spears got caught off a dive, and Joe hit a fallaway slam before Trick got the Trick Shot knee on Spears on the outside. Back in the ring, Hendry got the suplex before getting the win.

Result: Trick Williams & Joe Hendry def. Ethan Page & Shawn Spears

Joe Hendry and Trick Williams celebrated their win as NXT went off the air.
