  • In an interview with the CBS affiliate in his home town of Chicago, CM Punk addressed the rumours of him having issues with both Brock Lesnar and Vince McMahon. (On Brock) “There are a lot of people back there who say me and Brock are very very similar. Unapproachable, bad attitude. A kind of cloud hanging over our heads. But to me, he’s a sweetheart. I have no bad stories about Brock, yet.” (On Vince) “The relationship is certainly different and that’s something that’s always evolving. My relationship with Vince today is different than it was in April. It’s something that constantly changes.”
  • Former WWE diva and current “First Lady of Ring of Honour” Maria Kanellis continues to blast the Bella Twins over Twitter. During the premier of Total Divas last night, she tweeted the following comments:

“Hahahaha ha!!!! The Bellas are vets?”; “Every time the Bellas say they are vets it makes me want to vomit!”

(A Re-tweet) “The audacity these untalented broads have. Then you have Nattie who rocks and is an absolute sweetheart.”

(In response to a fan question regarding if the Bellas have any talent) “Yes. Can you guess what?”

(In regards to Nikki Bella’s relationship with John Cena) “N Bella, “We’ve been together for 5 minutes, lets get married.” JC, “My divorce hasn’t been finalized, I can’t.”

  • Speaking of Maria, her boyfriend, current ROH star Mike Bennett, defended all of her remarks towards the Bellas, posting the following on Twitter: “Funny that the same people who complain about what’s wrong with wrestling, are the same ones who blast someone when they speak out against it. Nobody gets anywhere by going with the crowd. whatand up for what you believe in, or just keep your mouth shut and follow blindly.”
  • Fast and Furious 6, which stars The Rock, opened in China over the weekend and pulled in $24,000,000, making it the highest grossing weekend ever for Universal Studios in that country. The Rock is currently working on both Hercules and a G.I.Joe sequel.
  • WWE.com has officially announced the changing of the October PPV to “Battleground”, although what the PPV will entail is still a mystery at this point.
  • Last night’s Total Divas première was the E! Network’s most watched series debut since Married to Jonas, according to a press release by the entertainment network. The show scored a 1.1 Nielsen rating with an average of 1.3 million viewers.
  • WWE legend Jake “The Snake” Roberts will be starring in a movie called Heavy Water, an independent production funded by Kickstarter. Roberts will play the head of a family of street urchins and homeless people who offers protection in exchange for money. Meanwhile, fellow legend Bret Hart will doing a special appearance at the Montreal Comic-Con on September 14th.
