Will Ryback-CM Punk feud give WWE a new direction?

With the advent of Triple H‘s backstage persona, everyone in wrestling industry was confident of one thing that he would rise as the saviour of WWE.

He was named Executive Vice President, Talent in 2011 and later the COO of this company. Much water has flown in the Mississippi since then, and the consistently dipping ratings gave failed in drawing any favourable response from the crowd.

Everybody knows that Mr. McMahon will retire sometime soon and Hunter would take over the reigns of the company. Therefore, it was imperative for Triple H to succeed before situation becomes worse.

However, there might be a twist in the tale following the events that took place at “Night of Champions” pay-per-view this past week.

With Ryback emerging as the ultimate new heel of WWE, we might just see some exciting developments in near future. The Mad Scientist Paul Heyman is accredited with shaping the future of many high-profile wrestlers in this business, including the likes of Stone Cold, Brock Lesnar and CM Punk.

WWE have been phenomenal in harnessing the skills of Heyman to the fullest by providing suitable storylines and the Walrus has, as always, done his job perfectly. Will Heyman be able to shape up the career of his new client, is something that only time can tell.

Ryback made his way into the WWE stands as the next Powerhouse of WWE. His stance as a ruthless warrior, a psychotic human being reminds us of the golden age of wrestling industry, the Attitude Era.

WWE have been successful in developing a decent storyline between Punk and Ryback in last few months, with Punk gaining the upper hand in the feud before WrestleMania.

However, the shocking revival of this feud has provided an interesting angle to this rivalry. The guidance of the Mad Scientist will surely help in reviving a stagnant career of Ryback.

For a man who is frequently compared with the legendary Goldberg for his appearance and in-ring dominance, Ryaback has a long way to go in WWE and the company has done the right thing in providing him with a manager like Heyman, considering that his mic skills are no better than Festus (if only you remember him ).

The energetic direction of the Walrus will surely help him harness his skills to the fullest.

With Ryback vs CM Punk feud still in place, get set to witness some great wrestling action this fall.

And for the word, I really want Punk to prove his mettle against a powerhouse like Ryback.

The Second City Saint gained a lot of reputation after his match against The Undertaker at WrestleMania, but this will a final test in sealing the spot of Punk as one of WWE’s all time greats.

By engaging Ryback against their apex superstar, WWE have put a lot at stake and would surely expect this storyline to improve their falling ratings.
