Cody Rhodes is the Undisputed WWE Champion and the face of WWE in the new era. After finishing his story at WrestleMania 40, he has emerged as a top star in the business and has successfully defended his title multiple times over the past few months.

What is also interesting about The American Nightmare is that he always wears suits when he appears on RAW and SmackDown for his segments. He was even doing so before his return to WWE in 2022, during his days with AEW.

Cody Rhodes was recently asked to explain why he wears suits during his WWE promos, and his answer was quite interesting. He also referred to other wrestlers' outfits.

"I will probably be a suit guy in the industry forever. I don’t know if this is appropriate for this show or not, but I’ll say it, and I’ve said it in interviews prior, anyone who I’ve ever worked with in business who’s intimidated by the fact that you wear a suit, I feel like they have a little di** like clearly. Clearly, come on, man. Everyone has what they so. Because I don’t want to wear shorts with you. Give me a break. The energy that comes from people who are like, ‘Ugh, I don’t know man, he’s in that suit, he’s trying to be something.’ I’m not trying to be something. I want to be something. That’s the whole thing," Cody Rhodes said in an interview with Complex, via PW Mania. [H/T: Fightful]

Cody Rhodes is one of the very few active superstars who wear a suit when they show up in the ring to cut a promo. The reigning World Heavyweight Champion Gunther recently dressed in a suit at Bad Blood, while WWE executives like Triple H, Adam Pearce, and Nick Aldis also wear a suit.

Cody Rhodes wants UK to host WrestleMania going forward

Cody Rhodes and WWE moved to the UK earlier in the week for a four-day tour, which brought a lot of excitement among local fans, who had the chance to watch their favorite wrestlers in action.

The American Nightmare even hinted at the possibility of the UK hosting a premium live event and shared his desire for WrestleMania to take place in the UK within the next five years.

"If I’m aiming, it would be cool to get it [in the UK] in the next five years. There’s some really big venues over here that could host a WrestleMania. I think American fans would jump at the chance to come to a WrestleMania [overseas], whether that be in Manchester or London, I think they’d go nuts for it," Cody Rhodes told BBC 5 Live.

Chief Content Officer Triple H and WWE president Nick Khan have already met with London Mayor Sadiq Khan about the possibility of London hosting WrestleMania, and there has been speculation that this could happen in 2026 or 2027.
