Jey Uso finally realized his dream of becoming a singles champion in WWE last week. He defeated the formidable Bron Breakker on Monday Night RAW to become the new Intercontinental Champion.

As for what lies ahead for The YEET Master in his title reign, it remains a bit uncertain. However, there is a possibility that Triple H might make a controversial decision that could upset fans - having Dominik Mysterio potentially be the one to take the Intercontinental Championship from Jey down the line.

Why Dominik Mysterio could be the one to dethrone Jey Uso?

Jey Uso has involved himself in the ongoing feud between The Judgment Day and The Terror Twins, coming to the aid of Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest on multiple occasions. The Judgment Day is quite unlikely to take this lightly and may have something planned in response.

If Dominik were to defeat Jey Uso to become the new Intercontinental Champion, and with Liv Morgan potentially holding onto the Women's World Championship, this could set the stage for a brilliant feud heading into WrestleMania 41. The storyline could revolve around Liv and Dominik facing off against Rhea and Jey in a series of matches leading to the main showdown.

Establish Dominik Mysterio as the biggest heel in the business

'Main Event' Jey Uso is arguably the biggest babyface on Monday Night RAW right now. Judging by fan reactions in the arenas and his merchandise numbers, he is incredibly popular currently.

If someone were to dethrone him as the Intercontinental Champion, Triple H would surely prefer it to be a top heel that takes the title from him. This brings Dominik Mysterio into the discussion. Dominik is currently one of the most hated individuals in WWE, consistently receiving boos in every arena he enters. If he were to dethrone the crowd favorite, it would establish him as potentially the most despised figure in all of professional wrestling.

WWE may have some bigger plans for Jey Uso

One of the main reasons Triple H may decide that Jey Uso doesn't need a long run with the Intercontinental Championship is that they likely have bigger plans for him moving forward.

With Survivor Series just a couple of months away, there’s a strong possibility the fans could see the Solo-Sikoa led-Bloodline against Roman Reigns, at WarGames. Reigns may choose to reunite with the original Bloodline, comprising The Usos and Sami Zayn. This scenario could lead to Jey being moved to SmackDown very soon and the IC Title thus needing to stay on WWE RAW.
