WWE SummerSlam weekend has arrived and the wrestling world is buzzing over potential surprises and swerves at The Biggest Party of the Summer. A major story leaked from Cleveland today and now new details are being revealed on Triple H and his team reuniting with two of the biggest stars ever.

The Hardy Boyz are rumored to be back on working terms with World Wrestling Entertainment. Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy are in The Forest City this week for WrestleCon, and word came down today that the North Carolinians had an early morning meeting with WWE officials.

Details on what was discussed have not been confirmed, but the rendezvous reportedly included the filming of material to be released at some point via the company's digital platforms. There's strong speculation that the TNA stars may return to the NXT or main roster storylines through the forbidden door working relationship the two promotions launched this year.

WWE officials recently reached out to The Hardyz and invited them to talk and film while in Cleveland this weekend, according to Fightful Select. The buzz picked up after Matt and Jeff were spotted at one of the hotels used by SummerSlam talents, and that buzz has continued unabated on social media.

The Ultimate Risk Taker and The Sensei Of Mattitude reportedly shot interviews for undisclosed projects and other WWE content. Sources indicated that the Stamford-based promotion could be announcing a big project on the former Jinx Brothers as some of today's content was filmed for a potential Hardyz-specific presentation, as well as active series.

WWE sources claimed there was not much to read into today's meeting. However, outside sources close to the situation believe fans will see the 22-time tag team champions appear for WWE when it's all said and done.

The Broken Hardys left AEW at different times in the last few months. Matt's TNA comeback began on April 20, while Jeff returned to the company on June 14. A source confirmed that they are currently working without TNA contracts, adding that they are enjoying their current runs with the promotion, and still have multiple dates they are committed to.

Jeff Hardy on turning down a WWE Hall of Fame induction

The Hardy Boyz found immense singles and tag team success in World Wrestling Entertainment over the years. While Matt Hardy won top singles titles like the United States and European Titles, and even the ECW Championship, it was Jeff Hardy who had two runs with the World Heavyweight Championship and one as WWE Champion.

The Charismatic Enigma is WWE's 18th Triple Crown Champion and 9th Grand Slam Champion. He recently spoke with Busted Open Radio and revealed why he turned down a Hall of Fame induction a few years back - because he doesn't want to go into the Hall without his brother.

"When I denied it the first time, it didn't feel right going in there without Matt. I cried after that phone call. I was just thinking about all the really cool moments I've given to the pro wrestling world. I'm so proud of it, but it didn't feel right at all. So, I just wanted to wait. If I did do this, I'm definitely doing that with Matt, you know. It'll be a Hardy Boyz thing. I just want one ring, I don't want two rings," Jeff Hardy said. [From 13:00 to 13:30]

Matt and Jeff have both held the World Heavyweight Championship in TNA. Matt's two reigns went for a combined 69 days, while Jeff held the strap for a combined 249 days over his three reigns.
