WWE officials continue to sign new talents and re-sign others as the end of the year approaches. Several interesting signings and potential acquisitions have been reported lately, and now sources have shed light on another familiar name who just signed a new contract.

Steve Corino began his pro wrestling career in 1994. The ECW original worked a handful of WWE matches but went on to find success with TNA, ROH, MLW, and the NWA, among other promotions.

After working as a WWE Performance Center guest trainer in November 2016, Corino was signed full-time in January 2017. At one point, the Canadian grappler was teaching the advanced class at the PC, which was the third of four levels of training.

The King Of Old School has signed a new World Wrestling Entertainment contract, according to Bodyslam's Cassidy Haynes. Sources in WWE and NXT reportedly confirmed that the 51-year-old has inked a new multi-year deal.

Corino is instrumental to the white and gold brand's tag team division. He currently works as an NXT Producer, and Tag Team Coach at the Performance Center. Chief Content Officer, Triple H, and Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative, Shawn Michaels, have assembled a strong team of producers/coaches, and the 51-year-old's new deal seems to prove that he remains a perfect fit as a 30-year industry veteran.

It was noted that Corino was interested in bringing in a few NXT superstars to work his PWF shows. He co-owns the Premier Wrestling Federation and Carolina Wrestling Academy in Newport, NC, along with Jacob Hammermeier and Colby Corino, Steve's 28-year-old son.

Corino's last match for a major promotion was his loss to Cody Rhodes on ROH TV in December 2016. He has held world championships in ECW, MLW, NWA, WWC, and several smaller promotions. The veteran also held the ROH World Tag Team Championship once, in addition to several indie titles.
