Viking Raiders WWE return date and name change confirmed - Reports

The return date for The Viking Raiders and a potential name change has been revealed ahead of tonight's edition of WWE RAW. This week's show will be the first episode following Bad Blood on Saturday night.

According to a new report from Fightful Select, Erik and Ivar will be making their return on the October 14 edition of the red brand. The promotion is taping two episodes of RAW tonight in St. Louis, Missouri.

Erik and Ivar will be returning with the War Raiders name and will be facing Alpha Academy next week in a tournament to determine the number one contenders for the World Tag Team Championship.

Erik has not competed in a match at all so far in 2024. The veteran is out of action with a neck injury and has not wrestled on WWE RAW since September 4, 2023. Ivar has also been out with an injury for several months. The big man has not performed in a match since his loss to North American Champion Oba Femi on the April 30 edition of NXT.

The War Raiders are former RAW Tag Team Champions and NXT Tag Team Champions. Valhalla, formerly known as Sarah Logan, used to accompany the popular duo to the ring, but she has also been absent from WWE television as of late.
