Update on several WWE Superstars who took major bumps at Money in the Bank - Report

In WWE the Money in the Bank Ladder Match is one of the most dangerous bouts, in which the athletes involved are often hurt. Injuries have been known to happen with the kind of bumps wrestlers take during this bout.

There were many spots this past weekend in which viewers legitimately felt concern for the performers. Notably, the one involving Tonga Loa of The Bloodline, who despite not competing on the show, was part of a nasty spot where he hit his head on the commentator's table.

Fightful Select has now reported that Loa is not injured. What's even better is the news that no significant injuries occurred during last night's premium live event. Superstars such as Chelsea Green, Zoey Stark, and Chad Gable, who were all part of major spots during their respective Ladder Matches, are all fine.

Chelsea Green, especially, pulled off an impressive fall off the top of the ladder through tables placed outside the ring. The 33-year-old WWE Superstar later claimed that she could have died from the bump.

Despite not being cleared to compete, CM Punk made his return following the vicious assault he had to endure at the hands of Drew McIntyre in Chicago. He assaulted the Scot, stopping the latter from successfully cashing in his MITB contract.

Details behind major botch during Damian Priest vs. Seth Rollins at WWE Money in the Bank

Before Drew McIntyre cashed in during the World Heavyweight Championship match, Seth Rollins clearly won the bout after the Falcon Arrow he hit on Damian Priest. However, the referee stopped counting and declared it was a two-count.

Wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer reported that he had inquired about what had really gone wrong. According to him on the Wrestling Observer Radio, Priest simply did not kick out. He speculated that there might have been a timing issue with Drew McIntyre's entrance. The Money in the Bank 2024 winner walked to the ring immediately after the botched spot.

As for the match itself, Punk's interference cost McIntyre the World Heavyweight Championship again. The latter had won the Men's MITB contest earlier in the night and decided to go through with the cash-in as promised earlier, but Punk had other ideas.

This evoked ire from Seth Rollins, who was also contending for the World Heavyweight Championship on Saturday. WWE planted the seeds to reignite their rivalry, which was intended to be a WrestleMania main event earlier this year.
