Upcoming WWE title match may not take place at Bad Blood - Reports

The return of WWE Bad Blood is set to take place in less than one month. Tonight's Season Premiere of RAW is set to further championship plans that have been in the works, but word just came down on a potential major change that could be announced as soon as this episode.

Bron Breakker will find out the next challenger to his Intercontinental Championship during tonight's WWE RAW. The show will feature a Fatal Four Way match featuring Braun Strowman, Jey Uso, Ilja Dragunov, and Pete Dunne, with the winner earning a title shot. Breakker's next defense was rumored for Bad Blood on Saturday, October 5, but plans may have changed.

Recent reports shed light on major Hell in a Cell plans for the rumored Bad Blood main event. PWN's Viper now notes that officials have been moving the card around a bit as of late. Furthermore, the creative team is reportedly looking to "juice up" the next three weeks of TV, leading into the go-home edition of RAW before the premium live event.

Due to this planned creative surge going into Bad Blood, there's reportedly talk of moving Breakker's next title defense to one of those upcoming RAW episodes instead of the PLE. The report pointed to how Uso vs. Breakker has been teased, but it remains to be seen if last week's face-off will lead to their first-ever match.

Breakker dethroned Sami Zayn of the Intercontinental Championship on August 3 at SummerSlam. Since then he has only retained once, and that was on August 12 as he defeated Zayn in a 2-out-of-3 Falls match on RAW.

Bron Breakker wrestles after WWE SmackDown

Bron Breakker has dominated the RAW brand since being sent over during this year's WWE Draft. The current Intercontinental Champion found himself securing a win after SmackDown in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada last Friday.

Breakker has not wrestled on TV since retaining over Sami Zayn in a 2-out-of-3 Falls match on August 12. His first match since then came after last week's WWE SmackDown as he defeated Zayn in an Edmonton Street Fight. Breakker retained but Zayn fought him off after the match and put him through a table to end the show.

SmackDown marked the fourth-ever singles bout between Sami and Bron. Zayn retained the Intercontinental Championship over Breakker at Money in the Bank but lost it one month later at SummerSlam.

Breakker retained in the aforementioned 2-out-of-3 Falls match, and then again in the Edmonton Street Fight to lead the series 3-1.
