WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Garcia (FKA Nikki Bella) has been in the headlines of mainstream media outlets for the past few weeks. On August 29, 2024, the news stunned the world that her husband, Artem Chigvintsev, had been arrested on alleged domestic violence charges.

He was reportedly released on a $25,000 bond. Artem was arrested on a charge involving injury to a spouse, cohabitant, or partner. Nikki Bella filed for divorce on September 11, 2024, and requested legal and physical custody of their son, Matteo. Artem filed his documents two days later, requesting spousal support from his estranged wife.

Meanwhile, a recent report by Life & Style has shed light on Nikki's reaction to Artem seeking spousal support. The report quoted an insider who claimed Garcia was ''absolutely furious'' and ''dumbfounded'' by her estranged husband's ''audacity and lack of shame!''

"Nikki [Garcia] is absolutely furious that Artem [Chigvintsev] is asking for spousal support. She’s still in shock and has been asking herself, ‘Who the hell did I marry? She's dumbfounded by Artem’s audacity and lack of shame. [She] plans on fighting back. She hopes a judge, if it actually comes to that, sees right through his disgusting and exploitative cash grab," the report stated.

The insider further added:

"Even if he wasn’t asked back to be on Dancing With the Stars, she thinks he would still have asked her for spousal support. After what he’s done to Nikki, it’s a slap in the face and a total loser move on his part!''

The report also stated that Nikki wanted to end their marriage quickly and that there was ''no going back!'' TMZ recently released a picture of the couple crossing paths for the first time since Artem Chigvintsev’s arrest.

In the recent episode of SportsKeeda’s The Wrestling Outlaws, former WWE Superstar EC3 expressed his thoughts on the recent controversy involving Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev.

The 41-year-old said that domestic abuse was an unforgivable offense, adding that it was one of the most ''heinous and horrible things!'' one can do to their loved ones.

“Domestic abuse, can't touch that. There's no, nothing to be said about that besides, it's one of the most heinous and horrible things I can think of doing to somebody you love," EC3 said. [3:41 onwards]

Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev got engaged in January 2020. The couple welcomed Matteo into their lives in July 2020. They got married in August 2022.
