WWE is geared up for an exciting weekend as SmackDown, Money in the Bank, and NXT Heatwave will take place in Canada. Meanwhile, a new report suggests Giulia will not attend the developmental brand's event.
Giulia was spotted at WWE NXT Stand & Deliver 2024 at ringside earlier this year. The 30-year-old is currently injured and appearing for Rossy Ogawa's Marigold in Japan. However, it was previously stated that Giulia would appear for NXT in July.
Unfortunately, those plans were scrapped when she got injured in a tag team match in May 2024. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON), the 30-year-old star will be on the road with Marigold and won't appear at Heatwave in Canada.
Giulia was slated to start with the Stamford-based promotion from Heatwave, but her wrist injury might have delayed those plans. It'll be interesting to see when she finally leaves Marigold and appears on the developmental brand.
5 title matches announced for WWE Heatwave 2024
Earlier this year, it was announced that the developmental brand will head to Toronto, Canada, for Heatwave 2024 during the Money in the Bank weekend.
Over the past few weeks, General Manager Ava announced multiple title matches for the event. After Chase U won a tag team turmoil match, they got a shot against Nathan Frazer and Axiom for the titles.
Elsewhere, Wes Lee has put it all on the line against Oba Femi. After weeks of dispute, Femi agreed to put his title on the line against the former North American Champion in a Last Chance match for Lee.
The card also features NXT Women's North American Champion Kelani Jordan against Sol Ruca. This will be Jordan's first-ever premium live event title defense for the title.
The event also features another title match for the women's division. Roxanne Perez is set to defend her WWE NXT Women's Championship against Lola Vice in a one-on-one bout.
The main event for the evening is set to be a Fatal 4 Way match for the WWE NXT Championship, where Trick Williams puts his title on the line against Shawn Spears, Ethan Page, and Je'Von Evans.
