Legends returning to WWE for a one-off appearance or a short run has been a norm since the Vince McMahon regime. The trend has continued under the new ownership, with multiple notable names showing up in the global juggernaut. One more name looks set to be added to the list as a recent report claims that the company is planning to bring in Jesse Ventura at an upcoming show.
Jesse Ventura was a major name in the pro wrestling world in the 1970s and early 80s. After retiring from in-ring competition, Ventura began to do color commentary. He most notably co-hosted shows and PLEs like Saturday Night's Main Event and WrestleMania with Vince McMahon. The Body was last seen in WWE in July earlier this year. He also recently signed a Legend deal with the company.
With WWE set to bring back Saturday Night's Main Event, a recent report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter has stated that Jesse Ventura could also be making an appearance on the show:
"Right now there are plans for Jesse Ventura on the show. The role is to be determined. Right now the idea is for him not to announce the entire show, perhaps an interview segment or announcing a match but the idea now is simply for him to be part of the show for nostalgia reasons."

Jesse Ventura last competed for WWE in 1990
While Jesse Ventura had to retire from in-ring competition in 1984 due to blood clots in the lungs, he returned to action in 1985 for another run. His last outing to the squared circle came in 1990 when he teamed up with Roddy Piper to defeat The Orient Express at a house show.
After achieving fame in the pro wrestling world, Ventura joined politics and served as the 38th governor of Minnesota from 1999 to 2003. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004. He also made an on-screen appearance in 2009 in a segment involving Sheamus and John Cena and even sat on the commentary desk for the Tables match between the two at TLC 2009.
