A recent report has shed light on Roman Reigns' WWE future amid his continued absence from the company since WrestleMania 40. The Tribal Chief has been off TV since losing his Undisputed WWE Title to Cody Rhodes.

Amid his absence, things have changed radically within The Bloodline. Not only did Solo Sikoa assume leadership, but he enlisted Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and most recently the Samoan Werewolf, Jacob Fatu, in the stable on this week's SmackDown.

There's been plenty of chatter that Roman Reigns might not be happy with this arrangement and could return to take back his throne as The Head of the Table. As per a recent update by Xero News, WWE could be building to a dream match between The Tribal Chief and Sikoa at SummerSlam 2024.

"Roman vs Solo is a plan that has been discussed recently for Summerslam."

It was also noted that Reigns could return in the coming weeks to set up the clash on the August 3 premium live event. Check it out below:

"Roman will Return in the next few weeks. However even though there is rumours of it when I asked a fee [sic] days back I was told he wont be at MSG. But will be in back with plenty of time to setup summerslam match."

Roman Reigns was referenced on this week's WWE SmackDown

Even though he's been absent, The Tribal Chief is regularly referenced on WWE TV as part of The Bloodline saga. Paul Heyman brought up Reigns' name when he confronted Solo Sikoa about his back-and-forth with CM Punk on SmackDown.

The Wiseman revealed that he and Roman Reigns believed Punk was to be left alone because of his close relationship with him. Solo Sikoa, however, brushed Heyman off and said that the former Universal Champion was never returning.

The Bloodline story has become more compelling with Jacob Fatu's addition and there's little doubt that Reigns' return would only take things a notch higher.
