Big E has been out with what appeared to almost be a career-ending injury for a long time. Now, though, there's been a report that seems to indicate he could be returning in the future.

Over the last few weeks, there has been a lot of tension within The New Day, with Xavier Woods hinting that he is about to turn heel. The star has been acting heel-ish and very frustrated and annoyed about falling short of repeated title opportunities.

Meanwhile, Big E has been out of action since 2022 after a botched overhead belly-to-belly suplex at ringside saw him land on the top of his head and suffer a broken neck with fractures to the C1 and C6 vertebrae. He has said since then that he was advised by doctors not to wrestle again. However, he left some place for doubt in a recent update when saying that he was not medically cleared but didn't rule out the possibility.

As per a post by WRKD Wrestling, there were reports that Big E could potentially return to reunite with Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston, but it would depend on him being medically cleared. The post didn't indicate that Big E was sure to get cleared, but if these are the plans, then there appears to be more hope for the New Day star to finally return to the ring - at least more than there has been in the last few years since the star was seriously injured.

Big E's recent update left room for hope

The New Day star was recently part of Fanatics Live before WWE Bad Blood, and there, for the first time, he spoke about a potential return to the ring, leaving some room for hope.

"Im not medically cleared yet, but we will see," he said.
