Roman Reigns on the verge of tying Hulk Hogan's over 30-year-old WWE record: Exploring his special achievement

Roman Reigns has been breaking records ever since becoming champion at Payback 2020. One of his most important accomplishments was surpassing 1000 days of holding the Universal Championship. He defeated every top name on the roster and has main evented every WrestleMania since 2021.

It so happens that during the course of his WWE career, The Tribal Chief has been a part of seven WrestleMania main events: 31, 32, 33, 34, 37, 38, and 39. However, he’s yet to reach the record that is currently held by Hulk Hogan, but the chances of him doing it are rather high.

It so happens that the WWE Hall of Famer has main evented eight WrestleManias. There’s a high probability that Roman Reigns will head into WrestleMania 40 as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, and of course, he will main event one of the two nights.

If The Tribal Chief main events The Show of Shows in 2024, he will equal the record of Hulk Hogan being the only WWE Superstar to have main evented eight WrestleManias. Whether or not he can surpass The Hulkster’s record will come down to WrestleMania 41.

WWE fans have expressed some frustration with The Tribal Chief being the champion, as he has not defended his title very often or even appeared on television regularly. WrestleMania 40 may finally be the premium live event where The Tribal Chief is dethroned.

Roman Reigns has a tough challenge at Crown Jewel 2023

After returning on the season premiere of WWE SmackDown, Roman Reigns was challenged by the fastest-rising babyface in SmackDown’s history, LA Knight.

Interestingly, it was John Cena who introduced LA Knight as Reigns’ new challenger while stepping down from the confrontation. The duo are scheduled for a title match at Crown Jewel 2023.

Unfortunately, The Tribal Chief won’t have the entire Bloodline by his side as Jey Uso left the faction and switched brands. However, Uso’s stance as a babyface in WWE could lead him to Knight’s side at Crown Jewel 2023.
