WWE SummerSlam is knocking on the door, and the match card has taken an excellent shape. Almost every champion has been booked for the premium live event, and fans are expecting to see certain titles change hands. Apart from the superstars already present, the WWE Universe is expecting to see either Roman Reigns or The Rock return at The Biggest Party of The Summer, and preferably both!

Speaking of Roman Reigns, The Rock, and SummerSlam, both men have quite the record at The Biggest Party of the Summer. However, only one can be the MVP of the premium live event, and this time the award goes to The Tribal Chief!

During his career, Roman Reigns has participated in seven SummerSlam matches. Among those seven matches, The Tribal Chief won six of them.

  • 2014: Reigns defeated Randy Orton
  • 2015: Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose defeated The Wyatt Family's Late Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper
  • 2018: Roman Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar to become the new Universal Champion
  • 2021: Reigns defeated John Cena to retain the Universal Championship
  • 2022: Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar in a 'Last Man Standing' match
  • 2023: Roman Reigns defeated Jey Uso in a 'Tribal Combat' match

Roman Reigns lost the 2017 match against Brock Lesnar.

On the other hand, The Rock has had five SummerSlam matches during his time with WWE. Out of those five matches, The Final Boss has won three of them.

  • 1999: The Rock defeated Billy Gunn in a Kiss My A** match
  • 2000: The Rock defeated Triple H and Kurt Angle in a Triple-Threat match to retain the WWE Championship
  • 2001: The Rock won the WCW Championship by defeating Booker T

The Rock lost the match against Triple H in 1998 for the Intercontinental Championship. Next, in 2002, The Rock lost the WWE Undisputed Championship to Brock Lesnar.

Given the statistics, it's evident that Roman Reigns has a better win-loss ratio than The Rock at The Biggest Party of The Summer. Furthermore, The Tribal Chief has had more impactful bouts than The Final Boss such as the Tribal Combat in 2023 or the Last Man Standing match in 2022.

Roman Reigns can pave the path for The Bloodline's Civil War at SummerSlam 2024

The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa is taking on Cody Rhodes at the upcoming premium live event. Even though the Undisputed WWE Championship is on the line, it is doubtful The American Nightmare will drop the title to Sikoa.

Reports suggest that The Big Dog will return to WWE at the premium live event. Upon returning, he will confront Sikoa for his actions during his absence. The next step in The Bloodline Saga will be a battle for the faction's control.

Since Reigns is rumored to return as babyface, he could reunite with Jimmy and Jey to reform the OG Bloodline. However, he will be more than just The Usos to take down Solo Sikoa and The Bloodline. It will be interesting to see how the story unfolds for the returning Tribal Chief.
