The WWE Tag Team Title belongs to one of the most dangerous teams in pro wrestling. The Bloodline's Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu won the gold from DIY the night prior to SummerSlam 2024 in Ohio.

Unfortunately, Jacob Fatu is currently out due to a reported injury, which means Tonga Loa has stepped up in his place. While Loa is a threat, he is much less of one than The Samoan Werewolf. This makes The Bloodline prone to new contenders, including potentially Roman Reigns and the returning Jimmy Uso.

Jimmy Uso is an eight-time tag team champion in WWE and one of the tag team legends in the industry, but he has been out of action for months now. Roman Reigns could bring his cousin back and the two could challenge for the tag team gold. The Tribal Chief could even bring Jimmy back as soon as tonight on SmackDown.

Uso was taken out on the SmackDown after WrestleMania. It was Solo Sikoa who kicked his older brother out of The Bloodline, but it was Tama Tonga who debuted and assaulted Jimmy. Needless to say, Uso likely wants revenge on both Tama and his younger brother.

Roman is also seeking vengeance, having even laid out the duo of Tama and Loa on WWE SmackDown last week. If he and Jimmy Uso unite, there is almost a guarantee that the title will change hands.

The match could be booked for the WWE SmackDown on USA premiere in September

Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso vs. The Bloodline is a marquee match, but the bout would be unlikely to take place without proper promotion. As a result, if Jimmy does return tonight, the match is unlikely to happen on the same show.

This arguably works to WWE's benefit, however, as there is a major show coming up in just around a month. SmackDown will soon be leaving the FOX Network and moving to RAW's current home - the USA Network. That move will take place beginning on September 13.

In less than a month, the company will host what is arguably the biggest episode of SmackDown of the year. There is no destination more fitting for Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso to take on The Bloodline than on the first episode of SmackDown on the USA Network.

This would give the premiere episode a major main event, but there would also be plenty of intrigue. Some wonder if Jey Uso or Sami Zayn will get involved in the angle, plus the rumored debut of Hikuleo is still to come. Booking this match in September makes a lot of sense.
