Former WWE head writer Vince Russo reviewed this week's episode of SmackDown. He claimed that Piper Niven has the potential to be a major star for the company.
Niven has been in a rivalry with Michin for a few weeks. Last week on SmackDown Lowdown, she attacked the former O.C. member with a trash can, setting up their encounter for this week. However, Piper couldn't get the win last night as Michin took her out with an Eat Defeat.
This week on BroDown with Vince Russo, the former WCW personality claimed that Piper Niven was the star of the match. He pointed out that Niven was built differently and moved flawlessly in the ring. He urged the WWE creative team to utilize the star better.
"I know [Michin] is a fan favorite with the marks. I understand that. But when I'm looking at this match bro, Piper Niven is the star. Piper Niven is the attraction, Piper Niven is the money. Not [Michin], Piper Niven. When you are that size and you can move the way you do, you are an attraction. You are a superior athlete. That's the money. The money is in Piper Niven." With the win, Michin has some much-needed momentum heading into WWE SmackDown next week. She is scheduled to be in a Dumpster Match against Chelsea Green on the October 4 episode of the blue brand.
It will be interesting to see if Piper Niven plays a role in determining the outcome of the Dumpster Match next week.
