Former WWE Superstar AJ Lee (AKA AJ Mendez) recently shared a heartfelt message on social media. The three-time Divas Champion has been absent from professional wrestling for nine years.

The 37-year-old announced her retirement from in-ring action in April 2015, majorly because of permanent damage to her cervical spine. However, during their much-talked-about feud, Drew McIntyre and CM Punk mentioned the latter's wife, AJ, on numerous occasions, leading to speculations of the former Divas Champion's return to the Stamford-based company.

AJ Lee recently took to her X (formerly Twitter) account to reshare a heartwarming post shared by a fan. The fan had penned down an emotional message claiming she wanted to help others and thanking the former WWE Superstar for inspiring her. AJ encouraged the fan and wrote:

"You're gonna change the world my bebe."

WWE Hall of Famer claims current NXT star reminds him of AJ Lee

Former World Champion and NXT Commentator Booker T has been calling matches on the developmental brand since 2022. Earlier this year, the veteran claimed that former NXT Women's Tag Team Champion Cora Jade reminds him of AJ Lee.

While speaking on his Hall of Fame Podcast, Booker praised the 23-year-old. He pointed out that he believes Cora Jade stands out from the rest of the stars on the roster. Booker T further stated that Jade unapologetically being herself reminds him of the former Divas Champion.

"The thing with Cora is you could tell she’s a star. She’s going to be a player in the business. Even once she gets to the main roster, there’s something about Cora that just stands out. She’s different than most of the girls on the roster. She reminds me of AJ Lee so much. She reminds me of that firecracker that was just herself and unapologetic. [Jade is an] 'I’m going to go out and do it like this, whether you like it or not' type of girl," he said.

Cora Jade made her much-awaited return from injury on the October 1 edition of NXT. The Sorceress of Sin attacked Giulia during her NXT Women's Championship match against Roxanne Perez to help the latter defend her title. The Japanese star, however, received the backing of the debuting Stephanie Vaquer last Tuesday.
