According to a veteran, the latest episode of WWE RAW had many things to praise. However, Teddy Long feels that The Miz's heel turn was unnecessary.

Among the spectacular matches on RAW, the bout between Braun Strowman and Bronson Reed stood out as the most audacious display of brute strength. Their fight caused even the sturdy ring to collapse under them, unable to bear the brunt of their hits.

In another twist, the Miz was also seen turning heel on his ally, R-Truth. Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine hosted by Mac Davis, Teddy Long talked about the matter and said:

"The ring collapse and everything. I thought that was so well done, man... Miz didn't have to turn heel. Miz was already a heel. Now, they just made him more comfortable... I love The Miz, man. I remember him back when he was in the Deep South. You know when he first got started and everything, man. So, me and him have always been cool man. He has a beautiful family. Whatever Miz does, it turns to gold," the veteran said. [1:40 onwards]

Another WWE veteran commented on the potential reason for Miz's heel turn

According to Bully Ray, Miz's heel turn was to ensure Bron Breakker had an excellent opponent to work with after his babyface turn.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, the WWE veteran commented on the sudden turn of events.

"It's just a question of what level of heel will they allow The Miz to be at this stage of the game. Will he be a heel that can be propelled back into the main event scene, or will he be a mid-card heel and work with Truth and any other up-and-coming babyface that they need to get over. It looks like they're putting their toe in the water with Bron Breakker turning him babyface. We saw him with the face-to-face with GUNTHER last night... But The Miz is a great heel for a guy like Bron Breakker to work with," stated the Hall of Famer," Dudley said.

As of now, it remains to be seen what is next for The Miz in WWE.
