WWE star shockingly returns after 264 days; ruins top title match

This week’s episode of WWE NXT saw the return of a superstar who had been missing for 264 days. Notably, the talent was out with a major injury. However, as soon as she arrived, she sent shockwaves by ruining a top title match. The name in question is Cora Jade.

The 23-year-old star tore her ACL back on January 12, 2024, in a match against Lyra Valkyria. However, she destroyed Giulia's NXT Women’s Championship hopes upon her return this week. The Beautiful Madness and Roxanne Perez fought for the title in a match that either could have won.

While Giulia backed her claims of defeating Roxy since her WWE debut, The Prodigy also stood her ground. Toward the end of the match, both flattened each other out with their finishers. After this, Perez picked up her championship belt and tried to run away.

The referee stopped her and told her she couldn’t do this. During this, a hooded figure rushed to the ring, pulled Giulia out, and neutralized her with a DDT. Capitalizing on it, The Prodigy unleashed a second Pop Rox and won the match. As she looked at the mysterious figure who helped her, Cora Jade revealed herself by removing her hood.

Jade and Roxy have been friends on WWE NXT for a long time. Perhaps her sudden return stopped Stephanie Vaquer from showing up, who had previously said she would be waiting for the winner once the match ended. It would be interesting to see how Giulia responds to this unfair loss.
