WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg was one of the most dominant wrestlers in the industry in the late 1990s and early 2000s. In an exclusive interview, former WCW executive Eric Bischoff addressed the comparisons between Bron Breakker and Goldberg.

Breakker, the son of wrestling legend Rick Steiner and nephew of Scott Steiner, has featured prominently on RAW in recent months. The 26-year-old has a similar moveset and in-ring intensity to Goldberg. Both men also had a football background before becoming wrestlers.

Bischoff oversaw Goldberg's rise through the WCW ranks in the 1990s. Speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling Senior Editor Bill Apter, he played down talk that Breakker is the second coming of the 57-year-old:

"There's obvious similarities," Bischoff said. "They're both power [wrestlers], athletic background, NFL background, football background, all that kind of stuff. Both very, very explosive. But beyond the physical similarities in their presentation, two different people, man." [7:09 – 7:30]

In the video above, Bischoff also gave his take on the possibility of Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes turning heel.

Eric Bischoff on Bron Breakker's impressive WWE MITB reaction

On July 6, Sami Zayn retained the Intercontinental Championship against Bron Breakker at WWE Money in the Bank. The 13-minute match ended in surprisingly clean fashion, with Zayn securing the win via pinfall after hitting a Helluva Kick.

Eric Bischoff believes Breakker's post-match facial expressions showed how good he is as a performer:

"Watching the finish with Sami Zayn, after the one, two three, Bron's on the outside of the ring, there's a shot of him looking up at Sami, the winner, and the camera held it, and he said more with his eyes in that brief 15-second clip than most wrestlers could with five minutes on a microphone in the middle of the ring." Breakker will receive another opportunity at Zayn's Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam on August 3.
