WWE Superstar Karrion Kross expressed his frustration during a recent media appearance. The leader of The Final Testament took shots at Finn Balor and five-time WWE champion Samoa Joe for taking away the NXT Championship from him back in 2021.

Balor and Joe are two of the most renowned names in the wrestling business. Both stars have been at the top of the industry and are aware of the ups and downs of the same. While they made their way to main rosters very early in their careers, both men returned to WWE NXT for a brief period.

Karrion Kross reigned as the NXT Champion during both instances. In 2020, Kross relinquished his title after suffering an injury. However, The Prince marked his return to the developmental brand and got his hands on the NXT Championship. During the second instance when Kross became the champion, Samoa Joe was rehired by WWE and became the NXT Champion very early.

During an appearance on Chris Van Vliet's INSIGHT podcast, Karrion Kross addressed the idea of going back to NXT when he took out his frustration in an intriguing comment. The 39-year-old star stated that if he went to NXT, it would become a roadblock for the younger stars who are trying to win titles and make a name for themselves, referencing what happened with himself.

"Sometimes I do, but the truth of the matter with that is, uh, in my opinion…I know what it's like being someone coming up, trying to get something you're after, and it su*ks when somebody comes in who's already had their shot, who's already been there, who was already basically given everything you could possibly want—undefeated with a championship and the whole thing. It's like they're coming back in here, and now that spot is unavailable for someone who really needs it to move into," Karrion Kross said. [52:02 - 52:53]

The RAW Superstar further added that while he would get the benefit of going back to NXT, he does not want to go back. However, he was open to returning for a marquee match on the developmental brand:

"I'm so grateful and so proud of my work at NXT, but for the sake of everybody else down there, I don't think I should be down there doing it. I really don't. If I were to come back for a match that people would want to see, like a one-off or some sort of program that would be fun to watch, that's different." [52:55 onwards]

Karrion Kross has been on a path to destroy tag teams in WWE

Karrion Kross has been playing his infamous mind games lately, trying to take down every tag team on the RAW roster. The former NXT Champion started with The New Day and managed to drive a wedge between Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.

Recently, Kross also played his mind games with The Miz, who eventually turned against his now-former tag team partner, R-Truth. Fans will have to wait and see what Triple H has in store for the 39-year-old star moving forward.
