An announcement was made on the latest episode of SmackDown regarding the WWE Tag Team Championships, which are held by Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa of The Bloodline. It was revealed during the show that their next challengers will be determined next week.

The last time the titles were defended was on the night before the Bad Blood Premium Live Event. The Tongans took on DIY and The Street Profits in a Ladder Match. On SmackDown this week, a Triple-Threat tag team match was held between Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford, Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano, and Pretty Deadly. The bout was won by DIY.

A second Triple-Threat tag team match saw A-Town Down Under, Garza & Humberto, and the debuting Motor City Machine Guns go after each other. The former TNA World Tag Team Champions got the victory in their first match in WWE. After that, it was announced that next week on SmackDown, DIY will face Motor City Machine Guns in a #1 contender's match for the tag titles.

The winning team will go on to challenge The Bloodline for the WWE Tag Team Championships. Many wrestling fans will be looking forward to this match. It'll be interesting to see who will get the win and go on to face The Bloodline for the gold.
