A WWE legend recently took to social media to send a message to Cody Rhodes after announcing her retirement from professional wrestling. The name in question is Meiko Satomura.

Satomura signed a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment in 2020 and started performing for the company's developmental territory in the United Kingdom, where she won the NXT UK Women's Championship. She also took on the responsibility of coaching the younger talent on the white and gold brand. Although the legend has not been seen on the Stamford-based promotion's television for quite some time, many reports suggest that she is still signed with the company as a coach.

During the Triple H-led promotion's Japan tour, Meiko Satomura was in action for the first time in the Stamford-based promotion ring since 2023. Later, she announced her retirement from professional wrestling, highlighting that her last match would be in April 2025.

Satomura recently took to Instagram to post a photo alongside Cody Rhodes. She sent a wholesome message to The American Nightmare, thanking the latter and praising him for being a gentleman.

"Thank you very much @americannightmarecody Such a gentleman and gentle and a mirror of a super hero!!" she wrote.

During WWE's tour of Japan, Meiko Satomura wrestled in several matches. During the first two house shows, she teamed up with Bayley, Jade Cargill, and Bianca Belair to face a team of Damage CTRL and Tiffany Stratton. However, on the last day of the company's tour, the legend locked horns with The Role Model in a singles bout for the Women's Championship.

Following their match, Satomura took to X (Twitter) to thank Bayley and the fans. She also wrote that The Role Model was strong and amazing during the bout.
