The Wyatt Sicks made an impactful yet eerie WWE debut in Corpus Christi last week. Recently, 10-time Tag Team Champion and one-half of The Dudley Boyz, Bubba Ray Dudley, addressed whether the new faction will work or sink like The Fiend's run.
The Fiend Bray Wyatt was often booked questionably under Vince McMahon's previous regime. It has been well documented in the "Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal" documentary that the late star was frustrated with many of the creative choices given to him before he was released from the Stamford-based promotion in 2021.
On a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray talked about The Wyatt Sicks' arrival on Monday Night RAW. The 10-time WWE Tag Team Champion (World, WWF, and WCW) weighed in on why The Fiend stopped working after a while due to the previous regime and commented on whether the same could happen to the new faction in the future.
"So maybe as they move forward by unfolding these characters, we will feel more sympathetic for them, towards them (...) In my opinion, it didn't work for The Fiend. Our love for Bray Wyatt, it didn't work in the ring. Whether it was the Randy Orton match, [John] Cena match, or the Seth Rollins match, there was something always wonky about it (...) Another massive debut took place in WWE after the arrival of The Wyatt Sicks
WWE had a great week following the shocking events of Clash at the Castle in Scotland. The company's landscape changed when Drew McIntyre lost to Damian Priest and The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn) became the new Women's Tag Team Champions.
After the event, The Wyatt Sicks made their eerie presence felt on Monday Night RAW and left a list of victims, including Chad Gable. Later, WWE NXT continued its crossover with TNA as Joe Hendry and Frankie Kazarian appeared on the brand.
However, the biggest solo WWE debut of the week was that of Jacob Fatu. The Samoan Werewolf decimated three top superstars on Friday Night SmackDown and joined the new Bloodline alongside Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Paul Heyman.
