Stephanie McMahon has been an integral part of WWE's history. However, recent events have led to questions regarding a potential name change, which a Hall of Famer thinks is unnecessary.

Over the last few years, Vince McMahon has been the target of multiple disturbing allegations. While Stephanie has not been involved in any of the alleged matters, some believe that her last name, McMahon, could have repercussions anyway. However, WWE Hall of Famer, Teddy Long disagrees with this analogy.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's The Wrestling Time Machine show hosted by Mac Davis, Long was asked whether he envisioned Stephanie changing her last name someday. He stated that he saw no sense in her dropping 'McMahon' from her name, as she has never been involved in any of the alleged scandals. He also noted that she had nothing to worry about.

"If she used her name, I wouldn't let these people worry me. She ain't got nothing to do with that, that situation is with her dad and other people. She is not involved in that, so why change her name because of something that somebody else done. She has nothing to do with that and I wouldn't change my name," he said [2:09 onwards]

The WWE Hall of Famer thinks that Stephanie McMahon does not need to change her name

According to Teddy Long, Stephanie was not even remotely involved in the Vince McMahon allegations, which was a good enough reason for her not to consider dropping her last name.

Adding to his previous comments on Sportskeeda Wrestling's The Wrestling Time Machine show, the WWE Hall of Famer explained that considering Stephanie McMahon had no involvement in any of the allegations against her father, keeping her last name would not lead to anything changing in how WWE's parent company, TKO, treated her.

"But it's so minor. You know what I mean? I don't think TKO would let nothing like that interfere with 'em, 'cause they know Stephanie ain't got nothing to do with that stuff," said Long. [2:48 onwards]

As of now, only time will tell what Stephanie McMahon plans to do next.
