Wrestling legend speaks highly of Omos, wants him to compete outside of WWE

Omos has often been away from WWE TV and there's no date on his return to the weekly product. Hall of Famer The Great Muta recently spoke highly of The Nigerian Giant and wants him to compete in Pro Wrestling NOAH.

Pro Wrestling NOAH collaborated with WWE in the past few months with several notable matches across the board in Japan. NXT's Josh Briggs and Tavion Heights are in Japan for NOAH's N-1 Victory tournament.

In a recent interview on Pro Wrestling NOAH's YouTube channel, the rising NXT talents asked the WWE Hall of Famer which star would he like to see compete in NOAH from the main roster. The Great Muta named Omos as the star and spoke highly of him. The 61-year-old legend praised the former RAW Tag Team Champion's stature and believes he can perform well in the ring if given the opportunity.

Omos last competed in April 2024, he was part of Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the go-home edition of SmackDown before WrestleMania. His manager MVP is reportedly leaving WWE, and it'll be interesting to see what the rising star does next in the company.

Omos addressed MVP's exit from WWE

In 2022, MVP turned his back on Bobby Lashley and aligned with Omos. The rising star's career trajectory changed when Porter became his mouthpiece on Monday Night RAW.

After a few successful wins, The Nigerian Giant was reduced to special appearances at premium live events and shows. The new regime used Omos and MVP as a special attraction for shows.

Earlier this year, it was reported Bobby Lashley and MVP are leaving the company once their contracts expire. Earlier this week, both stars were moved to the alumni section. Speaking on Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez, The Nigerian Giant addressed his manager's exit from the Stamford-based promotion. Omos had nothing but gratitude for the star.

"I've spent the most time with him [MVP] on the road [...] We drove everywhere, three, four hours, you name it. It was him and I, hip to hip, so I'm definitely gonna miss him. I think it was time. I think our time that we spent together, I was able to learn a lot from him." [From 03:06 – 03:25]
