[WATCH]: WWE champion Oba Femi involved in an unfortunate botch during title match

WWE Superstar Oba Femi has displayed a dominating title reign as the NXT North American Champion. He recently defeated Wes Lee and permanently blocked the latter's chances to challenge him for his title during his reign. However, the mighty Nigerian recently got involved in an unfortunate botch during another title defense.

The latest episode of WWE NXT saw Oba Femi defend his belt against Duke Hudson. While Femi weighs 310 pounds, the Chase University member weighs 253 pounds. However, despite their total weight being 563 pounds, the NXT North American Champion failed to break the announce table when he slammed Hudson on it.

While Oba Femi did not jump on the table himself, the Nigerian star failed to deliver a powerful enough move to break the table when he slammed the 34-year-old on it. Shortly after, the NXT North American Champion ended things with a Pop-Up Falling Powerbomb to retain his title.

While Femi will keep his title, Duke Hudson did a good job and almost became the new titleholder. It would be interesting to see if he gets another shot at the title and clinches a win the next opportunity he gets. With another successful title defense, Femi will now wait for his next opponent to further solidify his title reign.
