[VIDEO] Roxanne Perez involved in big botch at NXT Heatwave; doesn't acknowledge it

Roxanne Perez is still the NXT Women's Champion after an incredible match at Heatwave. However, she was involved in a big botch at the finish and didn't seem to acknowledge it.

The prodigy was ready for another big title defense against the former Bellator star now known as Lola Vice. It was Vice's first big opportunity at an NXT event and she certainly stepped up in a big way, with the crowd showing appreciation for both the champion and the challenger.

In the finish, NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez hit a series of Pop Rocks - the second of which was a complete botch. She recovered quickly and didn't seem to acknowledge it.

At first glance, it appears as though Perez didn't get her footing right and that was the reason for it. Some fans on X/Twitter blamed Lola Vice and her lack of experience for it, but the reality is that it's one of those things that just happens.

Vice's position could have been better while Roxanne should have been a little away from the ropes. Regardless, these things happen to virtually every wrestler in the world at some point no matter how experienced.

The prodigy will be taking her title into the Great American Bash next month.
